Chuck Finnie is the owner/president of Dependable Heating, Cooling, and Refrigeration, Inc.
Chuck joined Dependable Heating and Cooling, Inc. in 1990 as a partner. His duties were to initiate an HVAC Installation Division. Prior to that time, the company was primarily a service business and did not perform any installations. Since that time, the installation division has grown dramatically and has gone from doing strictly residential systems to doing medium & large commercial projects.
Chuck is a graduate of Ferris State University with an Associate’s degree in HVAC Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Trade Technical Education. Upon graduation, Chuck taught Heating and cooling Technology at St. Clair County Technical Education Center for 14 years before coming to Dependable. In addition to teaching, Chuck has over 25 years of experience doing HVAC service and installation in Michigan.
In 2002, Chuck became the sole owner of the company and is now responsible for both the installation and service departments.
Dependable Heating, Cooling, and Refrigeration, Inc. is a licensed and insured full-service organization. We do residential and commercial HVAC system installations, install geothermal systems, perform duct cleaning, and install air treatment and humidification systems, exhaust systems for manufacturing, kitchen exhaust, and make-up air systems
We are a Carrier Leadership Dealer and sell Carrier exclusively. A “Leadership Dealer” exhibits outstanding sales and customer relations. We have been a Carrier Dealer since 1992 and believe it’s the best equipment in the industry. All of our service and installation technicians are factory-trained in both residential and commercial equipment and they all are certified in CFC refrigerant recovery. They also have extensive training in customer relations so that they are able to respond positively to all of your heating and cooling needs.
Our Sales force has over 25 years of sales experience. Each of our salesmen started with the company as either a service or installation technician. This experience helps them identify what it takes to complete jobs. All of our salesmen are factory-trained and have successfully completed the sales program at Carrier University in Indianapolis, IN.

Experience - 50 years in the HVAC field and 33 years at Dependable Heating and Cooling as the Owner/ operator.
Graduate of Ferris State University with an Associate Degree in RHAC and a Bachelor’s degree in TradTech Education. Master’s degree in Vocational Education from the University of Michigan.
Hobbies include - Softball, Golf, and watching Hockey. As well as, watching his grandkids playing their favorite sport.
Experience - Employed with Dependable for 29 years. Started out as an installation helper, and became an installation foreman. After 10 years of installing promoted to salesman/installation supervisor. Became part owner in 2015.
Hobbies include - Golfing, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
Experience - Employed with Dependable for 32 years. Started as a service technician and was promoted to his current position as a commercial job manager. Became part owner in 2015.
Hobbies include - Tinkering with an old Triumph Spitfire car. Spending time with family.
Experience - Employed with Dependable for 20 years. Operation of the service department. Graduated with a Business degree in 2011 from Siena Heights University. Became part owner in 2015.
Hobbies include - Golfing, exercising, being with family, and watching my kids play all of their sports.

Experience - Employed with Dependable for 9 years. Responsibilities of handling all the accounting, payroll and financial statements, as well as insurance and other miscellaneous HR items.
Hobbies include - golfing, beaching and bike riding. Spending time with her 9 grandkids from ages 1 to 19 with one more on the way.
